Spray antiperspirant… who would have thought? When I typically go to the store to buy my antiperspirants I never stop to buy spray antiperspirant. However, I do stop to buy Dove and Degree brand antiperspirant. I’ve been on Dove lately because I shop at Costco and you can buy it in bulk and get it for a really good deal.
Here are some of the facts on Dove antiperspirant:
Dove’s Research and Development team have been through years of research to create an antiperspirant spray which goes on instantly dry when it touches your skin, leaving it soft and smooth and protecting you for 48-hours.
Nothing short of revolutionary, Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant is the first antiperspirant spray with ¼ moisturizers, so you can have all the care of Dove in a spray that goes on instantly dry. And it’s really easy to use: shake it twice, spray it on your underarms and that’s it.
Choose from six unique fragrances: Nourished Beauty, Plus Cool Essentials, Revive, Beauty Finish, Skin Renew or Sensitive. (source)
I currently use the bar Dove antiperspirant and it smells great and the spray antiperspirant smells the exact same. You do have to remember to shake well before you use it and spray 6 inches away from your body; otherwise, there will be a white residue under your armpit. It does stay on all day long and feels light under your arms if applied correctly.
Considering I work out daily I was very eager to try the Degree antiperspirant. You can read more details and see other brands of this product here. Here is the ingredient list to this antiperspirant: Active Ingredient: Aluminum Chlorohydrate (23.3%) Inactive Ingredients: Butane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Hydrofluorocarbon 152a, Isobutane, PPG-14 Butyl Ether, Fragrance (Parfum), Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propane, Propylene Carbonate, BHT, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sodium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Maltodextrin, Hydrated Silica, Hydrolyzed Corn Starch, Gelatin Crosspolymer, Silica, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Benzoate.
The smell of the Degree antiperspirant is great but there is warning I’ll give you. If you don’t spray gently you’ll inhale alot of the spray. A drawback from the sprays that if you don’t spray it carefully you’ll be inhaling the spray. You also can’t put your clothes on first and antiperspirant second like a bar antiperspirant. On the flip side I love how there’s a large variety of scents for you to choose from and the Fresh Energy smells great, especially in the morning before an early A.M. workout!
Overall, I would recommend these products if you’re looking for a spin on your antiperspirant. Depending on how you get dress you might have to change the order of when you apply your antiperspirant, before you put on your clothes vs after you put on your clothes.
My husband was also sent some men antiperspirant of his own. Lucky him, because he was sent three different brands to try out. He has similar opinions as I did. If you spray the antiperspirant to close to your underarm the antiperspirant will bubble up and begin to crumble and fall from the armpit area. So you have to keep in mind to spray at a happy medium of 6 inches from the armpit to ensure a smooth application of the antiperspirant. He particularly likes applying the Axe before bed to awake to a fresh smell in the morning. Just like for women there’s a variety of different scents to choose from.
