New Baby? Yes that’s right, but you still have to find time to yourself to get out the house and run some errands. I made a visit to Target to try out the new Quest Protein Bars. Quest is driven to make foods that don’t compromise on taste or nutrition. Not only that, but they make eating healthy both delicious and easy. If I have never shared this with you before I really love to eat. Then, if you know me a lot you know that I love chocolate. Therefore, when I’m on my fitness journey I still allow myself to eat chocolate but I find ways to do so the healthy way with various protein shakes, protein bars, or if I make something at the house with my own healthy ingredients. Either way I find ways to stay sane and still maintain a four pack is to enjoy what I eat.
Quest Protein Bars are sweet & delicious, packed with protein, fiber, and all have 3 grams or less of sugar. It’s the perfect on-the-go snack to help satisfy your sweet tooth, without the guilt. Another neat thing I love about Quest is the variety! Who doesn’t like variety on their fitness journey. The flavors available at Target are: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cookies & Cream, Blueberry Muffin, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Apple Pie, Cinnamon Roll, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Double Chocolate Chunk, Mint Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate Raspberry, S’mores, and Chocolate Brownie.
With all the options to choose from I had to think hard and deep because there are so many flavors that have chocolate! I always opt for foods with brownie so I went with the Double Chocolate Chunk Quest Bars.

Not only eating chocolate bars, but I’ve been trying out Oreo’s flavors lately when I like to indulge so I also opted for Oreo Quest Bars.
While I didn’t opt to make a recipe with the Oreo Quest bar I still ate it as a snack and it was good. These bars aren’t as chewy as some other brands and are easy on the teeth which I like.
I can’t just eat and talk about a product that you don’t know the facts about, so here they a few to get those taste buds watering.

And this last Tip I can’t leave out: Heat in the microwave for about ten seconds for an ‘out of the oven’ experience.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake with a Quest Bar Spin
2 tablespoons coconut flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoons unsalted peanut butter*
1-½ tablespoons melted coconut oil
1-½ tablespoons maple syrup (Grade B)
3 tablespoon Vanilla Unsweetened almond milk
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 Double Chocolate Chunk Quest Bar
optional: chocolate chips, nuts
- In a small bowl whisk together coconut flour, and baking powder.
- Add egg, peanut butter, coconut oil, maple syrup, coconut milk and vanilla and mix thoroughly to combine.
- Add chunks of half your Quest Bar
- Fill into a large mug and microwave on high for about 2 ½ minutes. Start checking at about 2 minutes. Let sit for a couple minuted before eating.
- Top with remaining Quest Bar
